Falke also invites Eisenstein's wife Rosalinda and their chambermaid Adele, all of them disguised and unaware of the presence of the others. Throw in Rosalinda's former suitor, a determined prison warden, an incompetent lawyer, a drunken jailer, and lots and lots and lots of champagne, and you have all the elements of a hilarious night at the opera.
