Tom Stoppard’s inverted retelling of Shakespeare’s most notable tragedy puts two minor characters at center stage as they try to sort out the confusing but clearly important events they’ve been caught up in. Throughout, they parse the thin lines between truth and facade, fate and chance, memory and fantasy, and most importantly, exits and entrances.
