Set in an Irish Boarding House/Brothel in 1960, an Irish Republican Soldier has been kidnapped outside of Belfast and is going to be executed. In retaliation, the owner of the boarding house, a crazy Irish loyalist, Monsewer, decides to kidnap a British Solider and hold him hostage. The other tenants of the boarding house are fascinated by the Solider and sing and dance with him. Pat, the real leader of the house decides to help the solider escape, but in the escape attempt the solider is shot and killed. The show walks a fine line between musical, comedy, and love story with a Brechtian twist.
